Saturday September 24th was the first home game of the reason for the WC Football team. The Penns, in usual fashion, showed up to support the team. They organized a modest tailgate before the game for Actives, Alumni, Prospects and friends to join in on. As the game began, the group made their way into the stadium and found seats in the front rows on the 50 yard line. The Penns constantly cheered on the team, and of course their brother Jordan Robledo who is on the Whittier College Spirit Squad.
Whittier College won the game against the University of Puget Sound 66-48.
Just because school is out, doesn’t mean the Penns take a break. On July 3rd, Penns Actives Blakes Ulves, Miles Kubota, George Malhiot, and Mason Peacock ventured out to San Juan Capistrano in order to do a little community service. This opportunity arose when Blake’s uncle contacted him about an event. The four Penns drove out and helped set up a fundraiser for the company Wells of Life which drills wells in Africa so villages can have clean water. The men helped set up the party, blew up many balloons, acted as parking assistants and showed art during a live auction.
